“It is very important to us to place all our new capacities in data centers that meet reliability standards no lower than Tier III. Like euNetworks DC in Amsterdam, for example. Tier-III class, according to the Uptime Institute's international classifications, means that the DC guarantees a minimum uptime of 99.982%. To receive Tier III certification, the DC infrastructure must meet the highest standards for cooling and power redundancy, be equipped with the best access control systems for the building and computer rooms, and ensure the physical security and fire protection of the servers. Each rack is connected to two independent power supplies, and in the event of serious electricity problems, diesel generators kick in, which can keep the data center running smoothly for many hours. According to these standards, equipment downtime should not exceed 1.6 hours per year. It is important to keep up with these developments. In this way we can always guarantee the highest reliability and efficiency.”
That’s a high standard. In your opinion, what are the main trends for the hosting market in the coming years?
“Integrated solutions are the future. Continuity of service, speed of deployment and modernization of infrastructure is no longer a matter of prestige for most companies, but a matter of survival. And the future belongs to hosting providers who will be able to offer their customers not only rack space and a "fast lane," but will also be willing to take on many other functions. From seamless migration and equipment purchase to building and maintaining a turnkey IT infrastructure, allowing their customers to focus on their core business and save on their IT infrastructure maintenance budget.”
