Installing an OS to Dell PowerEdge C6220¶

To install the operating system from the ISO file on a Dell PowerEdge C6220 server, follow these steps:

1. Download ISO file with operating system.

2. Install Java Runtime Environment version 7. If you have Java 8 installed, you need to uninstall it first.

3. Connect to the server with the credentials you get:

   

4. Go to Launch section of vKVM & vMedia menu:

   

5. Press Launch Java KVM Client button and run the downloaded file to get access to the server console:

   

6. Press Launch Java VM Client button and run the downloaded file too to be able to mount an ISO file:

   

7. Press Add Image button, select the image you need and check the Mapped checkbox in your ISO image line:

   

8. Go to the server console window, reboot the server and start the installation:
